ABOUT THE COURSE:

This course is suitable for anyone new to teaching Phonics or who has no (or little) prior Phonics training.

Not specific to any Phonics scheme, this course focuses on the basics of teaching Phonics and ways to support children that will transfer into any chosen systematic synthetic phonics teaching programme. The course is broken down into smaller units that refer to theory as well as time to practise to support the content. Practical opportunities will be available for learners to practise their new skills (informally) as well as plan a phonics session/block of sessions.
