ABOUT THE COURSE:

This qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind. It covers areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying. The course will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition. Learners will learn how to start a conversation and provide support and guidance to professional help

This course is written by Nuco Training, accredited by the FAA and regulated by Ofqual and is recognised on the RQF.

On successful completion of the assessment, learners will receive a certificate of attendance on the day, followed by the qualification certificate which arrives via post or email direct from Nuco Training.

Qualification is valid for 3 years from completion date

You will learn:

  • What is mental health, why young people develop mental health conditions and the role of a first aider for mental health

  • How to recognise and manage stress

  • How to recognise a range of mental health conditions

  • Understand the first aid action plan for mental health and be able to put it in place
